Question: How can I add more Events to the timelines?
Answer: There is a maximum of 10 events automatically included on the timelines. However, you may add more events yourself.
To add more events to an existing timeline, you must add the text for the event, and you must create a new line connecting the new event to the timeline.
There are two options for adding the text for a new event.
First option: click here to see one way to add text to your page (link to KB 5087)
Second, you may duplicate an existing text box, and edit the text within that new text box:
1 -Click on one of the events already on the timeline
2- Click on the second to the last icon on the right side of the timeline to duplicate that text box
3- Drag the new text box to the location where you want to add the new event to the timeline. Point to the duplicated text box, hold the mouse button down, and drag to the new location.
4- Click on the Pencil icon on the yellow toolbar so it is highlighted. Now you may edit the text within the text box.
5- Delete the existing information in the text box
6- Now type in the new information you want added to the timeline.
To add a new line for the new event:
Click one of the existing vertical lines on the timeline
Click on the second to the last icon on the yellow toolbar to duplicate the line
Place the cursor over the duplicated line.
- When the cursor turns into a plus sign with arrow points on all 4 points, hold down the left click button and drag the line to the new location on the timeline.
- There is a small square at the bottom of the line. Place the cursor over the box and it will turn into a 2 sided arrow
6- Hold down the left click button on the mouse and drag the end of the line up or down to adjust the length of the line
